About This Job
Role Purpose: Provide direct youth services and programming, building positive relationships with young people while supporting their personal development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate youth programs and activities
- Provide individual support and mentoring to young people
- Assist with recreational and educational programming
- Support young people in crisis situations
- Maintain positive relationships and trust with youth
- Assist with centre operations and safety management
- Coordinate with families and schools as appropriate
- Support group activities and peer relationship building
- Help with program planning and evaluation
- Assist with outreach and engagement activities
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of youth development and challenges
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm
- Ability to set appropriate boundaries
- Basic crisis intervention skills
- Physical ability to participate in activities
- Background check and police clearance required
